  • balneotherapy

    The therapeutic use of water or bathing to relax and revitalize the body. May provide pain relief while improving the immune and circulatory systems.

  • behavior modification

    Manifest positive personal habits through desired behavior repetition. This technique is used in some health, wellness and weight programs along with goal setting.

  • Bindi

    A bodywork treatment involving exfoliation, herbal treatment and a light massage.

  • biofeedback

    This personal training technique involves heart, blood pressure, or brain function monitoring. The subject then gains insight into recognition and voluntary control of these systems. Used in pain, stress and anxiety cases.

  • blood pressure

    The force exerted by blood against the walls of the blood vessels is dependent on strength of the heartbeat, elasticity of vessels and blood volume along with the patient's age and health. Normal blood pressure for a healthy adult is 120/80 mmHg, with individual variations.

  • body conditioning

    An exercise program with focus on the overall conditioning of the body for both strength and flexibility.

  • body sculpting

    Fitness program which combines weight, flexibility and endurance training to define body shape without creating excess bulk.

  • body wrap

    Strips of cloth soaked with herbal seaweed or therapeutic treatments are wrapped around the body, for a relaxing, rejuvenating experience.

  • botanicals

    These preparations used in cosmetic, therapeutic and medical products are obtained from plants.

  • botox

    Protein injected into the muscles of the face to freezes muscles and minimize appearance of fine lines. Therapeutically used in some pain cases.

  • brush and tone

    A pre-treatment to mud and seaweed body masks. This 'dry brushing' exfoliation of the skin removes impurities and stimulates circulation, leaving the skin ready for revitalization.
