  • Tai Chi

    A Chinese system of graceful physical exercises designed especially for self-defense and meditation, and practiced for its health and longevity benefits.

  • Taksu

    Indigenous Balinese deep tissue massage. This treatment is helpful for tight and tired muscles.

  • Temazcal (see sweat lodge)

    From Hispanic heritage, an indigenous therapeutic ceremony, where rock is heated until red-hot and placed in the center of a dome like structure where heat is then sealed in. May involve herbs to create curative vapors.

  • Thai massage

    A body treatment therapy traditionally performed on the floor involving gentle stretching and pressure point massage to release energy, relieve tension and increase tranquility.

  • thalassotherapy

    These treatments use seawater products such as seaweed and seaweed wraps.

  • thoracic breathing

    This 'chest breathing' occurs when upon inhalation the muscles expand the rib cage. The thoracic breath does not fill lung capacity or utilize the diaphragm's potential.
