The Silverado Resort is an expansive resort offering golf, tennis, and a spa in the heart of California’s Napa Valley. The resort is set on 1,200 acres and commands not one but two world-class golf courses that have each hosted PGA events in the past. However, on today’s visit to Silverado, my focus was a visit to the resort’s spa.
The Spa at Silverado is across the street from the main resort. It’s housed in its own stately building and includes the spa, a busy fitness center, racquet courts, a swimming pool, an impressively well-stocked spa boutique, and a cafe offering a wide assortment of healthy fare. The staff at the front desk was full of smiles, which made for a wonderful first impression.
The locker rooms were spacious and well-laid out. The spa is available to hotel guests and day spa guests. The facilities were exceptionally clean, and all the relaxing amenities—steam, sauna, hot tub—were at a perfect temperature.
I was introduced to my esthetician in the relaxation lounge for my Golden Goddess Body Wrap with 24 Karat Facial. I admit I was a little overwhelmed by the flawlessness around me. However, my therapist made me feel completely comfortable. She explained the procedure and discussed the products used on my face and body. The treatment had me wrapped in the warmth of gold and extracts of Artemisia and passionflower, which help detoxify, hydrate the skin, and boost elasticity. While in my wrap, I experienced a skin-enhancing facial. The treatment and equipment were top-of-the-line, once again exceeding expectations, but my therapist made my experience special—she was warm, friendly, and loved her job, which shined through.
I would call the Golden Goddess Body Wrap with 24 Karat Facial treatment ‘The Mother of the Bride’ treatment. After leaving the spa, I felt ten years younger, and the results lasted a few days, which I fully enjoyed.
The Spa at Silverado Resort was a welcome surprise. The property has wonderful energy, and the amenities and staff created a lovely Northern California spa experience.
